LH&M represents and has represented trustees, debtors, lenders and creditors in a number of well known bankruptcy cases. The following is a sampling of LH&M’s representative cases over the past decade:

In re Marc S. Dreier: LH&M represents Salvatore LaMonica, the Chapter 7 Trustee of the estate of Marc S. Dreier, in a bankruptcy case involving a massive Ponzi scheme by a former prominent attorney who ran several law firms throughout the country.

In re ProBulk, Inc., et al.: LH&M represents Salvatore LaMonica, the Chapter 7 Trustee of the estates of ProBulk, Inc., et al., in bankruptcy case involving the liquidation of over of 57 tanker ships located throughout the world.

In re Fine Diamonds: LH&M represents the Chapter 7 Trustee in a bankruptcy case involving the alleged theft of over $37 million dollars worth of diamonds. LH&M has recovered diamonds on behalf of the Trustee and the estate from all over the world.

In re Inflight Newspapers, Inc.: LH&M represented the Chapter 7 Trustee in this bankruptcy case and uncovered a massive multi-million dollar fraud perpetrated by the debtor’s principals and management. LH&M assisted the Trustee in recovering several million dollars for creditors.

In re Periscope Sportswear, Inc.: LH&M represented the Chapter 7 Trustee in this bankruptcy case and successfully pursued a leveraged buyout by the debtor’s insiders and the bank. LH&M  assisted the Trustee in recovering over $4 million dollars for creditors.

In re Pergament Home Centers: LH&M represented the largest lender in this bankruptcy case and successfully pursued claims regarding the liquidation of the Debtor’s business, real estate holdings and operations.

In re Centaur, LLC: LH&M was retained as special litigation counsel to pursue claims against several lender banks with exposure of several hundred millions of dollars in this bankruptcy case.

In re New Rochelle Telephone Corp.: LH&M represented this Chapter 11 debtor in complex telecommunication bankruptcy case. The debtor had assets and liabilities ranging between $1 million dollars to $10 million dollars.

In re Acclaim Entertainment: LH&M represented the Chapter 7 Trustee in this bankruptcy case and assisted the Trustee in the liquidated over $100 million dollars’ worth of entertainment industry assets for the benefit of creditors.
