Lon Seidman is a litigation partner at LH&M. Lon has almost 30 years of experience representing businesses, individuals and trustees in all types of business litigation and bankruptcy-related matters, including trials and appeals in New York state and federal courts. Lon regularly handles complex contract disputes and is often called upon by major law firms around the country to serve as local counsel.

Lon has been selected as a New York Metro-Area “Super Lawyer” (2013-2022) in Business Litigation.

  • Represented travel business in week-long trial arising out of breach of non-disclosure agreement alleged to have destroyed the client’s business.
  • Obtained dismissal of federal action against bank alleging wrongful dishonor of letter of credit.
  • Successfully resolved insider trading claims asserted by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
  • Represented major food manufacturer in defense of class action alleging false labeling of food product and deceptive business practices in food manufacturer’s bankruptcy case.

  • Represented major industry trade group in challenge to new legislation promulgated by the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs.
  • Represented representative of estate of widow of ice cream magnate Tom Carvel in Surrogate’s Court proceedings including trial concerning approximately $67 million estate.
  • Represented widow of victim in Long Island Rail Road shooting in products liability action against manufacturer of hollow point bullets used in mass shooting.
